BOOKINGS:
- All rates listed are quoted in CAD and are subject to HST
- Prices are subject to change at any time. Rates are only guaranteed if specified on the estimate provided to you or if a deposit has been received for your services.
- To secure a date and time, 40% retainer will be charged at the time of booking. For email agreements, the client is responsible for transferring the retainer via EMT to info@nidafarooqui.ca. The retainer paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please note, dates and times will only be reserved once the retainer has been received.
- Booking Times: Bridal hair and makeup require a minimum of 3 hours. Where a photographer has been arranged by a Client to come in getting ready shots, extra time must be booked at the time of booking. You may add this service to your existing booking by sending an email to Info@nidafarooqui.ca or by adding it to your booking when booking online. Party makeup and hair service typically take 45-50 minutes, so when reserving your services, book accordingly.
- Makeup and hairstyling will be completed to client’s satisfaction, but the service time will not exceed the allotted time. Ample time is given for each makeup and hair service upon booking. By accepting the completed makeup application, the client confirms that the makeup is done to their satisfaction.
- Party services cannot be booked for brides. The artist reserves the right to cancel booking and the client will forfeit any deposit/retainer amount paid. If the artist agrees to provide services, the appropriate bridal fee will be charged before the commencement of the services.
DELAYS & LATE FEES
- A late fee of $25.00 will be charged when a client is more than 30 minutes late for the scheduled time. In case of a delay, please notify us via text to 416-857-1455 or email to info@nidafarooqui.ca.
CANCELLATION
- All retainer monies paid by Client are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the client cancels the booking/appointment after the retainer monies have been paid, the client will forfeit the retainer paid.
- In the event of a wedding cancellation due to a state of emergency (e.g., natural disaster or global pandemic), we will allow a full transfer of the retainer to a new date within the same calendar year. However, we must be consulted to choose a suitable date. If you select a date when Nida Farooqui (or her agents) are unavailable, the retainer will be forfeited.
CHANGING THE NUMBER OF SERVICES:
- Once the retainer is paid, no services may be removed from the booking. Removing services will result in the loss of the retainer for those services. The retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Additional makeup requests outside of the original booking will be at the discretion of the makeup artist/hairstylist. All clients must be present at the scheduled time and location.
- If the Client fails to notify Nida Farooqui of cancelled party services 24 hours prior to the commencement of appointment, the original balance owing must be paid in full as per the original booking and number of services booked.
- Finally, if the makeup artist cancels or is unable to perform the services, the retainer will be refunded in full within two weeks. If possible, the makeup artist will refer you to another artist. The client agrees that the 100% retainer refund is the only liability of Nida Farooqui or her agents.
ON-SITE SERVICE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- For on-site appointments, a clean work area, table, chair and mirror with working electrical outlets need to be made available for the makeup artist/hairstylist at said location. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps is necessary for services to be performed adequately.
- Nida Farooqui (and her agents) will not perform makeup or hairstyling services in a bathroom and reserve the right to refuse services if the workspace is unsafe or unhygienic.
PARKING FEES
- Any parking, valet, or toll fees will be included in the final bill and must be paid on the day of the appointment.
EXTRAS
- Please review the add-on costs for all party/bridal appointments at the time of booking. For bridal bookings: If you have a photographer coming in to capture “getting ready” shots, this service will cost extra, and you will need to arrange this with us beforehand or book the appropriate package. In addition, we do not carry 100% human hair extensions. If required, please inform us at the time of the booking so we can arrange a colour matching appointment or discuss other options to ensure human hair extensions are available for the day of your booking.
TRAVEL FEE
- A flat travel fee will be charged for all on-site locations unless otherwise stated on the booking.
ALLERGIES OR SKIN SENSITIVITIES
- The Client must inform the makeup artist of any allergies or sensitivities to makeup or hair products before the appointment. Clients may bring their own products if needed. In the event of an allergic reaction or any other adverse skin reaction, Nida Farooqui or her agents will not be held responsible for any injury, illness, or damage.
PAYMENT
- The final balance must be paid in CASH (CAD) on the day of the event, prior to the start of the appointment, or via e-transfer the night before. NO EXCEPTIONS. The makeup artist reserves the right to delay services until payment is received.
USE OF IMAGE
- By sending a retainer, the Client acknowledges, agrees, and consents to the Nida Farooqui (and her agents)taking of photograph(s) and/or video during and/or after the Services provided by the Makeup Artist. The Client hereby grants Nida Farooqui the irrevocable and perpetual right, title and interest including without limitation, the perpetual right and permission to copyright and/or use, re-use, modify, duplicate, distribute, and/or publish in any way they see fit, without restriction, the Client’s name, face, image, likeness, statement and/or voice (collectively, the “Image”), in any media, portfolio, promotional marketing materials and/or social media capacity worldwide, without any compensation to the Client. The Client acknowledges that Nida Farooqui is and will be the sole owner of all rights in and to the Images or any material created in connection to the Image. If the Client prefers not to have their photo or video taken, it is the Client’s responsibility to inform the Makeup Artist during the appointment.
By paying the retainer, The Client agrees that they have carefully read and understood the terms and policies abovementioned. The Client hereby forever releases and waives the right to bring any claims to Nida Farooqui or her agents, employees, or other representatives for personal injuries, death, disease, personal or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen. The Client understands that the retainer monies paid to secure the booking/appointment are non-refundable and non-transferable and Nida Farooqui or her agents, employees, or other representatives will not be liable.
